What to Expect

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Customer Account Manager to support business growth and our customers and resident maintenance teams. This is a remote role and will require travel requirements in the UK.

About You

A strong background in automation with maintenance and support experience on conveyors, cranes, sorters, AMR’s and hanging garment systems and other elements found within logistics networks.

You must be able to support resident maintenance managers and maintenance supervisors and able to coach and help develop the wider engineering teams.

Contractual and P&L experience and management would be an advantage.

Have a good understanding of customers process and software and its relationship with PLC’s at an automation level.

Have strong communication skills to enable you to form a strong relationship with the customer and engineering teams and able to effectively communicate at different business levels.

Able to demonstrate your continuous improvement mentally and show how this has supported systems and site and driven customers business forwards.

Problem management, able to own issues and drive through effectively to resolution.

The Role

The customer account manager will report to the Head of Maintenance, you will liaise with the customers operational teams and technical teams and will be responsible for:

  • The health and safety of yourself and your teams, upholding AMH’s safety first approach.
  • Ensuring the engineering teams deliver against the contractual SLA’s and KPIs within budget and add value to the customers business.
  • Strive to improve people, processes and performance and able to mentor and help develop colleagues to drive the business forward.
  • Support teams and customers with escalations where value can be added for faster issue resolution.
  • Identify future projects, enhancements and obsolescence to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime.
  • Deliver concise information and reports effectively

Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will have:

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in engineering and automation
  • Proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective time management
  • Good customer relations
